A growing concern is rising nicotine addiction among youths, driven by appealing products like flavoured e-cigarettes. Is the market shaping our health… more than we realize? 🧠💰 The recent declaration by the MAP (Maltese Association of Psychiatry) opposes any involvement of organisations linked to cannabis use in sponsoring nurseries or initiatives for socially disadvantaged children. While investment in children’s wellbeing, inclusion, and development is strongly supported, such efforts should remain independent of substances shown to harm young people. Evidence links cannabis exposure in children and adolescents to neurodevelopmental, cognitive, and mental health risks, and associating youth-focused activities with it risks normalising harm. The current suspicion-based system allows impaired drivers to go undetected, putting lives at risk. MAPHM urges immediate legislative reform to implement high-visibility, evidence-based testing to deter dangerous driving and protect all road users. 🔔 Merry Christmas from all of us at MAPHM! 🎄 1 day till Christmas! 🎄 2 days till Christmas 🎄 3 days until Christmas! 🎄 4 days until Christmas! 🎄
